Search Engine Optimization refers to the improvement of the unpaid results of a webpage in the Search engine results page. It’s the process of increasing the quality and quantity of the traffic of a website, by improving the website’s visibility to the users of a search engine. So in short Search Engine Optimization can be defined as a series of tasks conducted or done for the purpose of improving the website’s position in the SERP.
SEO is important to keep your website updated in the Google Search results page. SEO is done to improve a website’s
organic ranking and improve website traffic. Let’s start SEO by working our way from inside out. By inside I mean your
website. First, fix the problems on your website and then consider the external factors influencing the performance of
your website. Let us see what we can do to improve the performance of a website in organic search results.

KeywordKeyword research is important in SEO. Keywords are the phrases or words that a user types in the search engines.

Keywords play an essential role in the up and well running of your website. Find the keywords that your customer would
search for. You can always use Google Search suggest for finding long-tail keywords. Start typing your most likely or
close enough word to your keyword in the Search Engine and you can see at least 5 to 6 suggestions from Google.
Using Keyword Planner tools and using online communities and reading threads on forums is an efficient way for keyword
researching. Optimize your content by using keyword on top of your page, at the beginning of the title tag and use keyword
in H1 H2 H3 tags. And use the keyword in the first 100 words at least of your content. Use a short URL with the target keyword. 

Content


Content is the king. Good quality content attracts more traffic. Use the skyscraper technique for content creation, it always works.
Break the content into small parts and make sure it covers everything about your topic. Just like I mentioned above about
the use of keywords in your content make sure your content is rich in images and videos, and use visual graphics if necessary.
And the images and videos should be related to the topic that you’re covering. Don’t forget to add ALT Text to your images and
description to your videos, because the search engines don’t read the images they’ll only read the ALT text in your image,
that’s how they recognize images.

Competitor Analysis

If your website is a fresh one out there in the world wide web then you could start by checking out your competitors.
Check what are they up to and you could plan your journey accordingly, and try not to duplicate their content, create
your own and be unique and outstanding in presenting your content. For this purpose, Website Auditing Tools are used.
Semrush, Seomator, Seoptimer, Ubersuggest are such tools. Some of them are free, but for deep analysis of a website,
you may have to use the paid versions of such software. 


Even if your website is a couple of year old one or more than that you may use such tools to evaluate your website, as they
not only give the keyword ranking and organic search report but they also give a detailed report about the Backlinks (Do-follow
and No-follow links will be specified in detail) and Broken links as well. Finding and fixing technical errors and SEO related
issues is necessary. If your website is stuffed with such problem then it will influence your ranking on Google Search Result
Pages to go down. 

Content Optimization

Content optimization is important in SEO. If your page is stuffed with images and videos that require more buffering time it will
slow down the page loading speed. Websites with long page loading time are most likely to have a higher bounce rate.
Reducing the size of the images and using short videos with quality and good content will not bloat your website. And page
loading time can be reduced. Use Google Page Speed Insights and webpagetest.org to test your website speed and get
recommendations on how to improve the page speed and fix the technical problems.
